How Christmas Eve works.
Christmas lunch, cooked and shared.
Our volunteers spend Christmas Eve at a London hostel, cooking Christmas lunch and sitting down to eat it with the residents. We also leave ingredients behind so the hostel staff can cook for residents on Christmas Day. We don't name the hostel, to protect the privacy and safety of the people who live there.
Hot food and care packages on the streets.
Teams also head out across London with hot food and care packages for people sleeping rough — and the time to stop and talk.
Every pound funds meals, care packages and practical support.
We are entirely volunteer-led. Everything given goes directly into the Christmas Eve outreach.
Help fill the care packages.
We welcome donations of items for this year's care packages:
- Non-perishable food and snacks
- Warm clothing: hats, gloves, scarves, socks
- Hygiene essentials: toothpaste, wipes, deodorant
- Sleeping bags and blankets
